It's been a little while since I've posted anything. Mainly because my walking schedule got interrupted. Partly because I'm working on a more efficient way of walking the 6,000+ miles I intend on walking, partly because, uh... well... laziness. A bit. Teeny bit. Yup. Lazy.
You can check out my other blog Naked in New York for some random stuff I write every now and again.
I will be returning to my walks very soon and I hope to have something intersting to write about. In the mean time, here is a picture I took the day of the big (and only) snowstorm of the year, outside a Panera Bread store - which a few hours hours later that day was giving 2 for 1 deals on baked goods. Presumably there was a shortage of customers... They were closed for the day by 2 p.m.
Urban Hiking: the walking within a cityscape for purposes other than shopping, commuting or any other task, really. Who said you need a patch of woods to get out there? Walking in the city affords the walker just as many interesting things to look at, albeit in a very different environment.

Uh-Oh...
As of late (and also more often than they should) politicians and religious whack-jobs alike have been labeling all sorts of severe weather as the Almighty's, uh... "punishment" on us, mere mortals (for what I presume it must be our deviant ways). Anyway, it was a bit amusing to come across this note posted on a church door this Sunday.
Gee-Oh-Dee is pissed. Best not bother him with that silly little pageantry...
